Sandbar clip saves about 12 seconds over the normal strat, however it is a 2 frame trick, and missing it has the potential to kill mario.

To get sandbar clip, duck, then spinjump when the sandbar is at this height. The two dots in the dirt block on the right make a good visual cue.
