Faster Wings
Yoshi can't interact with sprites immediately after landing on him. However, his tongue still can. So throwing yoshi on the correct block and eating the wings will save extra time.

If you execute the previous strategy wrong, you can get stuck under the level for some reason and It is really easy to die. So here's another way to do this level that does not depend on eating the lower red koopa. This is a tiny bit slower, but also safer. This is the recommended Lunar Dragon, No Cape strategy.
