Eat 2 Spinies
Eating the spinies isn't necessary, but is faster than damage boosting through them with yoshi.

Eat 1 Spiny
Watch which way the top spiny faces when yoshi hatches. If he faces right, this strat is possible and slightly faster. If he faces left, it is recommended to eat both spinies as in the above video.

With the strat below, the top spiny before the pipe can hit you if you're unlucky. It is not a big deal since you can remount yoshi immediatly if that happens.

You can build p-speed after the midway. It is faster but very difficult. If building p-speed fails, there's a high risk of losing yoshi.
