I have a suggestion for the originator for the term yump, but of course there's a high probability that it's wrong: a Finnish youtuber Jaakko Järvinen (isvaffel) makes bizarre videos, often video game related and sometimes about Super Mario games. He speaks very broken English and you can hear him using the word jump (yump) in this video for example: https://youtu.be/itZy0DD7Isg
